Position: Boys Ultimate Frisbee Coach (Fall 2017)
Location Seattle, Washington
Description Lakeside School, an independent coeducational day school located in North Seattle, is currently recruiting for a JV boys Ultimate Frisbee coach for the fall 2017 season. The season begins Monday, September 5th and concludes mid-November at the latest. A required preseason coaches meeting will be held during the first week of September.

Responsibilities:
• Availability four days a week (Monday through
Thursday, occasionally Friday) for practices
(3:00-5:30) and games which may run later;

• Communicate and work with school’s program
adviser, captains, and parents;

• Help schedule games;

• Plan and run practices;

• Coach games and record scores;

• Attend tournaments (one to two weekends);

• Set a positive example for players; and

• Promote balanced achievement in all areas of
school life for student-athletes.

Requirements and Qualifications

Successful candidates must be 19 years of age, possess a valid Washington State driver’s license, and be available for all practices and competitions from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday (and occasionally on Friday) during their coaching season with availability on weekends for tournaments (such as the JV Jamboree and possibly Fall Drizzle), and individual or round robin games as required. Experience coaching Ultimate Frisbee at the club, middle school, high school or college level is required. Additional post season play may also be required. Additionally, candidates must satisfactorily complete a nationwide criminal background check, a Washington State Patrol background check and must possess or obtain prior to the start of their season current First Aid and CPR certification.
