Cindy Hettinger

Assistant Executive Director

The 2007-08 school year marks Hettinger's 22nd year with the WIAA, making her the longest tenured assistant executive director in the Associations history.  As an assistant executive director, Hettinger oversees the basketball, tennis, volleyball, cheerleading, and the drama programs for the Association.  She is also in charge of directing all state championship events, producing the WIAA handbook and manages all out-of-season coaching/participation issues.       

Before joining the WIAA, Hettinger worked for the Seattle Parks Department for nine years.  She has served as a Washington state basketball and volleyball official and is a former Executive Director of the Northwest Sports Foundation and former Director of Basketball for the 1990 Goodwill Games.

During her career with the WIAA, Hettinger has had an opportunity to oversee every sport with the exception of football and wrestling.

Hettinger, a native of Montana, received her BS in Nutrition from Montana State University in 1978, while participating on the basketball team for MSU. 

Cindy, an avid outdoorswoman, historian and horse owner lives in Ravensdale.
