2018-2019 Pole Vault Certification

WIAA handbook rule 20.4.1, D. mandates that “Hands-on” Pole Vault Coaches Training is required for Pole Vault Coaches. Coaches must be recertified every three (3) years with “hands on” training to be required the first year and either the “hands on” training or completion of WIAA-approved online courses in subsequent years.

2018-19 Pole Vault Coaches Training will be offered at various locations throughout the year. Please pre-register onlineThe only acceptable form of payment is by check or cash onsite. The registration fee is $40.  The clinic is open to anyone in need of the certification.

Because of WIAA handbook rule 20.4.1.H.1.b, which requires that assistant coaches must be at least 19 years of age, certificates for completing a pole vault certification clinic and passing the test will be issued only to individuals who are at least 19 years of age.

In an attempt to meet the different needs of more novice and more veteran coaches gathering each year, we are attempting a new breakdown of time to allow veteran coaches to attend the last 2 hours only if they so choose.  Coaches who have already been certified twice will get more advanced material on common problems and cures, while first and second time coaches will have fundamentals of safety emphasized as always.

You must pay the registration free of $40 at the start of the clinic. Once you have passed the required test, you will receive a certificate that includes 4 clock hours.
