2011 Coaches School Participants:

I hope you had a safe return home and have been enjoying the few days left in the summer before the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year.

As a follow-up to the 2011 WIAA Coaches School there are a few items I wanted to bring to your attention:

2011 COACHES SCHOOL HANDOUTS/PRESENTATIONS: Almost all of the presentations and handouts from the 2011 Coaches School presentations are now available on the WIAA website. Select “COACHES” in the top tool bar. Then click on “WIAA COACHES SCHOOL” and you will see “2011 Presenters Notes and Presentations” on the left hand side. A few presentations are missing and will be added as we receive them. I hope this will provide you addition information from this year’s coaches school. We also hope to have the “2011 SLIDE SHOW” of pictures from Coaches School online by September 1, 2011.

COACHES SCHOOL EXPRESS: Registration is now open for the first WIAA Coaches School Express at Kentlake High School on November 12, 2011. Cost will be only $30 and you now can use a credit card for registration fees. Please encourage the coaches in your school to attend this new event. To learn more about this new event Click Here.

2012 WIAA COACHES SCHOOL: The dates for the 2012 WIAA Coaches School have been changes to July 27 and 28, 2012, again in Yakima. Coaches will be able to register for the 2012 Coaches School beginning in March of 2012. Keep checking the WIAA website for updates and information on the presenters.

I hope your experience at Coaches School was so good that you will encourage the other coaches in your school to attend one of the future WIAA Coaches School’s. Ongoing coaches education is the key to a successful interscholastic experience for all student/athletes.
