RENTON, Wash. – The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association announced the variety of coverage it will use for the Spring State Championships, beginning Thursday, May 23 and concluding Saturday, May 24.
The WIAA Network will air action from four different locations, covering four different events. Beginning with 3A, 4A Boys Soccer in Puyallup, the Network will air four games on Friday and four more on Saturday. Games begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
In Tacoma, the WIAA Network will broadcast the entire three-day 2A, 3A, 4A Track and Field Championships. Beginning on Thursday, the webcasts air at 3:30 p.m. with the girls 4x200m relay. Action will resume on Friday at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
All eight games at 3A, 4A Baseball in Pasco will be shown. The 3A semifinal will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday. On Saturday, the action on the diamond will resume with the 3A 3rd/4th place game at 10 a.m. The Network will show select games from 4A Softball in Spokane, which will include the Championship game on Saturday.

In addition to the live video broadcasts, the WIAA will be providing live up-to-the-minute blog coverage at 1A, 2A Soccer in Sumner, 1B, 2B Baseball in Ellensburg and 1A, 2A Baseball in Yakima. The coverage is provided by CoveritLive and will allow running written commentary of the contests. Fans will be allowed to interact with the live blog by asking questions or posting comments.
The WIAA will also be providing Tournament Central Pages for each of the sports and their locations. The pages feature scores, bracket updates, photos, live webcasts, live blogs, and Twitter updates from each of the events.
