Mat Classic Memories
 


2013 marks the 25th Anniversary of the WIAA Mat Classic State Wrestling Championships.  Over the past 25 years (1989-present), thousands of wrestlers have competed on the floor of the Tacoma Dome.  In preparation for this year's celebration, the WIAA is asking past competitors, coaches, and fans to share their favorite Mat Classic memories.

Fans, in preparation for the Mat Classic 25th Anniversary Celebration, the WIAA is searching for pictures of the 24-mat setup on the floor of the Tacoma Dome (similar to the picture to the left) from the following years: 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009. If you have an image that matches this description from any of these years, please contact Andy Knapp at aknapp@wiaa.com.
