Description
|
Holy Names Academy is an independent Catholic school for girls in grades 9-12 that competes in the Metro AAA League, located in Sea-King District 2. Holy Names Academy has a strong and successful athletic program – having won the Metro League All Sports Trophy a total of 15 times, including the 2021-22 season.
Holy Names Academy has the following Track & Field coaching positions open for the spring 2023 season:
- High Jump Coach
- Throws Coach
The Track & Field Coaches will report to the Head Track & Field Coach and Athletic Director. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Compliance with all Holy Names Academy, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.
- Supervision and instruction of track and field student-athletes during all team activities.
- Effective communication with student athletes and their parents.
- Provide transportation for student athletes in a school vehicle.
Requirements for the Track & Field Coaches include:
- Demonstrated knowledge, dedication, experience, and ability to teach event - specific skills and conditioning programs.
- Ability to teach student athletes sportsmanship, responsibility, discipline, teamwork, commitment, pride, and fun.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the HNA coaching staff.
- Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger minibus (training provided).
- Be available for practices and competitions during their coaching season with availability on weekends as required for practices or competitions.
In-season coaching duties will begin on February 27, 2023, and run through late-May 2023.
