JOB OPENING - $3,000 Track and Field Coordinator – Cascade Middle School League The Cascade Middle School League (CMSL) has an opening for a track and field coordinator. The CMSL will have track meets on Mondays, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, and 5/22, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Renton Stadium, with 9-10 teams. There are over 100+ middle school athletes that compete in the meets.

Events: 100mh - boys & girls 100m - boys & girls 200m - boys & girls 400m - boys & girls 800m - boys & girls* 1600m - boys & girls* 4x100 - boys & girls* 4x200 - boys & girls* *alternates each meet Discus - boys & girls Shot-Put - boys & girls Long-Jump - boys & girls High-Jump - boys & girls
The track and field coordinator is responsible for the following:
Recruiting and training volunteers and officials Collecting entries via track software (arbiter.net) before each of the five meets (entrees due Fridays) Arriving at least one-half hour before each meet to set up the league-provided timing system (Innovative Timing System) Meeting with coaches before the beginning of each meet Overseeing the scoring and timing of events Timing and managing the eight running events and four field events Making announcements for events using the microphone Produce result documents for each event listing all times and distances on-site or by e-mail within 24 hours. End of the season - The last meet is considered our championship meet. Ribbons are mailed to schools within the week.
The CMSL can provide track volunteers to run the field events, and those results will be handed to the coordinator at the end of each meet. The league will also offer timers if needed. The position will pay $600 per event. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and leadership skills, know track and field rules and regulations, and have experience in event planning and management.
