WINForum Sports Nutrition (winforum.org)
Tip of the Month  |  By Emily Edison, Sports Nutritionist

Coaches, help your athletes stay healthy and fit this off-season by encouraging them to follow these top 2 performance nutrition tips:
1.  Don't skip meals. Skipping “real-food” meals leads to eating more junk food and increasing potential for late night binge eating.  Encourage them to eat regular food at regular times.
2.  Drink lots of water.  Staying hydrated with water helps athletes avoid soda and energy drinks.  Remind them to carry a water bottle and flavor water with fruit, or drink sparkling water.
