Schools that win the Academic State Championship also receive points toward their pursuit of the WIAA/National Guard Scholastic Cup, the most prestigious WIAA award given to a school with the best finish in their respective classifications based on athletic competition, academic performance and sportsmanship.

Academic State Champion Teams will be invited to attend the State Championship of their sport where they will be honored.
