    2/28/2011

WIAA | Washington Interscholastic Activities Association
    Athletic Directors and Coaches,

The Seattle Times and WIAA team up to recognize twelve varsity athletes, a male and female from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week.  To nominate an athlete for consideration, please fill out the form at
    http://mywiaa.org/aow.asp.

You must fill out every field (except those marked "optional") before submitting.  Incomplete applications will not be accepted and include stats, scores, and contest dates from the previous week’s competitions. The weekly deadline is Tuesday, before 12:00 PM.
All varsity level students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the WIAA State Athlete of the Week Award. Students may win the WIAA State Athlete of the Week Award once during any given academic year.

Each winner of the WIAA State Athlete of the Week Award will receive a letter of recognition from the WIAA Executive Director, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week T-Shirt and certificate.  Winners will be announced weekly on The Seattle Times Web site and in the Wednesday edition of The Seattle Times Newspaper.  For information contact Aaron Roetcisoender at aaron@wiaa.com.
