RENTON, Wash. – The WIAA was saddened to hear about the loss of former employee, Terry Cavender, who passed away on Thursday, January 29. 
Cavender served as Athletic Director for Tahoma High School, Franklin Pierce High School, Camas High School and for the Puyallup School District. In addition to working in the schools, Cavender spent time as an Assistant Executive Director for the WIAA. Most recently, Cavender was working with the Puyallup School District as the Director of Operations.
“Terry was such a key figure in so many people’s lives,” WIAA Executive Director Mike Colbrese said. “He always put kids first and did everything he could to support his community.”
A service for Cavender has been scheduled for March 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers High School.
