Pat Connors made Washington state wrestling history as the first athlete ever to win four individual state championships. Competing for R.A. Long High School, Connors built a remarkable prep career that included three district titles, three regional titles, and a cadet national championship in 1992, which earned him a place on the USA World Team competing in Istanbul, Turkey. He was recognized nationally as an Asics Third Team All-American in 1994, and closed his high school career with a record of 123–4, including a flawless 33–0 season as a senior.

Following high school, Connors continued his wrestling career at the University of Minnesota, where he became a four-year letterman for the Golden Gophers. His collegiate highlights included a third-place finish at the Big Ten Championships and an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Division I Championships in 1997.

Today, Connors continues to give back to the sport he helped elevate in Washington as an assistant wrestling coach at Kelso High School, where his knowledge, experience, and passion inspire a new generation of wrestlers.
